MTV?s Married Young Takes Next Reality Step

MTV is ramping up for a new series called Married Young, which will apparently be their latest effort at following around ill-equipped youngsters as they try to play grown ups. Don?t get me wrong, I love Teen Mom. I think that show, along with 16 & Pregnant have made a greater impact on the mentality of hormone driven teenagers than any of the pathetic efforts of our politicians. It shows instead of tells. Even an idiot can see the pressure that motherhood puts on teenagers, especially when they are already in rocky relationships. The network is planning to take the next step. They went from pregnancy to motherhood. Now they will venture into marriage. Much like 16 & Pregnant, the series was preceded by a short documentary special on the award winning show True Life. I remember watching the special about a few different couples who married at a young age. They dealt with the disapproval of parents, financial strife, and of course, each other.
