Jennifer Aniston Has It Made in Manhattan With a Preweekend Walk

Jennifer Aniston toted a Smartwater as she strolled in NYC today. The actress was wearing the same army-inspired pants she sported for a dinner date at Craft with Justin Theroux last night during her afternoon walk. She and Justin have been getting domestic as they settle into life together on the East Coast, with Jennifer exploring her new neighborhood and grabbing groceries, but they also stepped out for a red-carpet event earlier this week. Jennifer celebrated her directorial project at the premiere of Five, a collection of short films by women like Jennifer and Demi Moore, on Monday. Justin and Jennifer posed for photographer Terry Richardson before making their way over to the soiree to commemorate the occasion, marking the second time Terry has shared cute photos of the pair on his website.

Sarah Gadon Is New Class' 'Most Likely To Wear A Corset'

Roles in 'Dream House' and the upcoming 'Cosmopolis' set her up for a long career, especially in period pieces.
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Sarah Gadon
Photo: Toby Canham/ Getty Images

Sarah Gadon has been acting for more than a decade, but now is really her time to shine.

This year alone, she appeared in David Cronenberg's Freudian flick "A Dangerous Method" and Mary Harron's "The Moth Diaries," and this week, she gets her scare on in "Dream House," alongside Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz.

Up next, Gadon, 24, re-teams with Cronenberg on the Robert Pattinson-starring "Cosmopolis." Her work in period pieces and her ethereal, striking looks certainly make her the perfect candidate to stay trapped in a time when women wore more restrictive clothing. That's why she's MTV Movies New Class' "Most Likely to Wear a Corset ... A Lot."

MTV: We're always looking for the next exciting talent, and it's not like you just started acting, so does it feel like a particularly exciting time where all that hard work is paying off?

Gadon: You go through different arcs in your career. I think when I was younger, I was very into the performing side of the industry. I came to acting through that way, and then having gone to university and studied cinema studies and watching tons of films and understanding film theory and making a conscious choice of working with auteur director marks a new chapter in my development as an artist.

MTV: You mentioned some of the directors, Mary and David, two geniuses, talented individuals; how do you build on that? Because that sets the bar high going forward.

Gadon: I think when you work with really wonderful directors who have a really strong vision, it lets you as an artist set the tone for your own career. So for me, it's not necessarily having that kind of notoriety. I'm interested in great work and working with people that have a singular vision, and I think the work dictates that.

MTV: Can you give me a sense of Elise [in "Cosmopolis"] and how she interacts with Rob's character?

Gadon: I think it's a really interesting film, and I don't want to give away too much, but I think in a really kind of pared-down version of the film, it's about a young millionaire who loses everything in the course of a day. And I play his new wife, so I'm one of the only characters that really kind of comes in and out of the story throughout the film. We have breakfast, lunch and dinner together, and those are going to be some interesting meals.

MTV: Is there someone to emulate?

Gadon:Yeah, of course there is. I think there are so many great actresses out there. I think Tilda Swinton is terribly interesting. I think she's fascinating. I love her work.

Ashton Kutcher on Breakup Rumors: "Don't Believe The Hype"

Ashton Kutcher on Breakup Rumors: "Don't Believe The Hype"

"Don't believe the hype." That's what Ashton Kutcher wants his fans to take away from the rumors that his marriage to Demi Moore is on the rocks.

Speculation of a split has been fueled by the Twitter-happy couple remaining strangely silent about each other on the social networking platform. But Kutcher, 33, did take to the social networking site on Wednesday to tweet a telling link to his Spotify account, which was playing the Public Enemy song "Don't Believe the Hype." Sounds like a message to us.

And, if that wasn't clear enough, Kutcher hit Twitter again on Thursday to spell it out a little better. "When you ASSUME to know that which you know nothing of you make an ASS out of U and ME," he wrote. We read you loud and clear, Ashton!

Rumors started swirling that there might be trouble in May-December paradise when Moore, 48, cryptically tweeted a quote from the Greek philosopher Epictetus on Sept. 23, the day before the couple's sixth wedding anniversary. "When we are offended at any man's fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings," she wrote. "Then you will forget your anger."

Three days later, Moore posted a Twitpic showing her lying in bed with her eyes closed, with the caption "I see through you...." Many commenters on the photo assumed that the caption was a reference to Kutcher.

Speculation was further fueled when Kutcher and Moore celebrated their anniversary on different sides of the country: Kutcher was in San Diego partying with former That '70s Show costar Danny Masterson, while Moore was in New York City for a film premiere.

Then there were tabloid reports that Kutcher cheated on Moore, with a woman named Sarah Leal claiming she'd slept with Ashton at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego last Saturday. Though this wasn't the first time Kutcher had been accused of cheating on Moore, the fact that he didn't issue a denial -- as he did last time -- only added fuel to the tabloid fire.

Still, if Kutcher says we shouldn't believe the hype, we're optimistic enough to believe him -- and we hope we're right.

Anne Hathaway's Catwoman Isn't First Controversial Costume

We look back at other divisive getups, including George Clooney's Batman and Adrianne Palicki's Wonder Woman.
By Kara Warner

Anne Hathaway on the set of "Dark Knight Rises"
Photo: PhamousFotos/ Splash News

Nothing causes a storm of online controversy like the first big reveal of an updated superhero costume — particularly when said costume is on a glamorous Hollywood starlet.

Case in point: the paparazzi photo snapped on the Los Angeles set of "The Dark Knight Rises" that features a catsuit-clad Anne Hathaway in between scenes. The firestorm around the photo, as well as the detailed analysis that followed, reminded us of some other costumes that received the same obsessive treatment.

MTV News reached out to Caleb Goellner, senior editor at Comics Alliance, for his thoughts on past lightning-rod getups.

Halle Berry's Catwoman
All things considered, Hathaway's costume has nothing on Halle Berry's barely there, frequently mocked ensemble from 2004's much-maligned "Catwoman," which went on to win four Razzies for Worst Picture, Worst Actress, Worst Director and Worst Screenplay.

"If somebody would've asked me, 'Hey, you think it'd be feasible to fight crime wearing nothing but a few handfuls of random belts from a TJ Maxx after-Thanksgiving sale bargain bin circa 1984?' In, like, 2003, I might've said, 'Maybe,' " Goellner admitted. "I confess to not being open-minded enough for that response in a post-'Catwoman' world, though."

Adrianne Palicki's Wonder Woman
There is a decent argument to be made that the violent reactions to the costume worn briefly by Adrianne Palicki were a large part of the reason David E. Kelley's TV series failed to get picked up. Also, from what we know about the pilot, it was not good.

"Palicki's costume seems like it was scrutinized more for its choice of materials than its cut," Goellner said. "Nobody really agrees on what Wonder Woman is/should be, but fans seemed united in their cries for a TV costume with a less vinyl-y sheen."

George Clooney and Val Kilmer's Batmen
When Warner Bros. hired Joel Schumacher to direct "Batman Forever" and then "Batman & Robin," they wanted him to make the films less Tim Burton-style dark and more family-friendly. The result? Nipples were inexplicably added to the Batsuits worn by Val Kilmer and George Clooney.

"In a world where rubber costumes often feature fake abs, adding nipples to a crime fighting suit is pretty logical," Goellner said, tongue firmly in cheek. "The problem fans had with this outfit stemmed purely from the fact that, in the comics, Bruce Wayne has trained his nipples to go into sleep mode while fighting crime, diverting calories to other parts of his body as needed. This continuity error, however minor, really distracted from Joel Schumacher's otherwise completely authentic filmmaking choices."

Ryan Reynolds' Green Lantern
The debate about CGI is ongoing: How much is too much? How much is too little? Shouldn't we expect all superhero-themed movies to be computer-generated spectacles? When the first photo of Ryan Reynolds as a green-suited Hal Jordan appeared, there were accusations of ruin and overuse of Photoshop.

Said Goellner: "Green Lantern's organic look had some feeling like he was more of a Slim Goodbody stand-in than a proper space cop. Others, who accepted the rationality of the costume as a manifestation of alien technology, were still bummed by its lack of depth and overall painted-on look. Everyone else was too busy hoping for a cosmic 'Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place' reunion to notice."

X-Men Suit Up in Black Leather
For those who grew up with their crime-fighting mutants sporting the classic blue-and-yellow suits as seen on the pages of the Marvel comic, as well as the animated cartoon, the all-black ensembles worn by the cast in Bryan Singer's 2000 hit ruffled many a fanboy's feathers back in the day — so much so that Singer added an homage to the fans via Cyclops' cheeky line: "What would you prefer, yellow spandex?"

"Given the X-Men's history of trying out new uniforms in the comics, fans weren't supremely bothered by X-Men's low-key combat suits," Goellner said. "Then again, the state of the superhero film was so abysmal in 2000 that fans were open to anything that was more 'Blade' than 'Batman & Robin.' It also probably would've been a bad idea to put Hugh Jackman in a mask, when everyone knows the real star of the 'X' franchise has been his dreamy peepers."

Bonus: Barbara Eden's Jeannie
Back in 1965, nothing caused more controversy on network television than Barbara Eden's scandalous costume on "I Dream of Jeannie" — so scandalous that network execs made the costume designers add extra inches to the waistline so Eden's belly button wouldn't be exposed.

Goellner's final word: "Her costume is a delight, but everybody knows that real genies are blue, have goatees and kind of talk like that guy who starred in 'Hook.' "

Check out everything we've got on "The Dark Knight Rises."

Seth Rogen: 'I Smoke A Lot Of Weed When I Write'

'I think way more people smoke weed than the media likes to acknowledge,' actor tells MTV News.
By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

Seth Rogen
Photo: MTV News

"That dude gave me the greatest gift I've had in the last five years," Kevin Smith told MTV News earlier this year about his "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" star Seth Rogen.

Smith wasn't talking about some meaningful postproduction keepsake — say, the bubble-blowing ring ex-porn star Traci Lords uses for unclean purposes in the movie — but rather a joint Rogen and the filmmaker shared on the last day of shooting in 2008. "We sat back, watched some footage and sat there smoking," Smith explained. "And I loved who I was."

Smith is now a gleeful proponent of weed, which he credits with spurring the most creatively productive years of his career, and Rogen is happy, as he put it recently to MTV News, to take credit for Smith "being stoned all the time."

"I either get people started smoking weed or I put them out of business smoking weed," Rogen added with a laugh while promoting "50/50," a comedy about a young guy with cancer in which the actor and co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt's characters get high for suspect medicinal purposes. "I'm either your first or last."

While Smith credits pot as a sort of mind-expanding artistic gateway, Rogen says he lights up to ease the drudgery of the creative process. "I smoke a lot of weed when I write, generally speaking," he told us. "I don't know if it helps me write. It makes me not mind that I'm writing. And I don't know if it makes me work better, but it makes me not care that I'm working. Who wants to work? But if you're stoned, it doesn't seem like work."

To help you work better, to make you forget you're actually working, to just have a good ol' time — why and when people get blazed may differ. But Rogen is convinced that no matter how it goes down, it's most certainly going down (and up in smoke).

"I think a lot of people smoke weed," he said. "I think way more people smoke weed than the media likes to acknowledge. Maybe it's just the people I'm around, but I don't think so. Pretty much everyone that I know smokes weed sometimes — with the exception of my parents."

Check out everything we've got on "50/50."

Justin Bieber: Boyz II Men 'Perfect' For Christmas Song

Holiday collabo is called 'Falalalala,' group reveals to MTV News.
By Jocelyn Vena

Boyz II Men
Photo: MTV News

After a photo surfaced online of Justin Bieber and Boyz II Men singer Shawn Stockman in the studio together, Beliebers were pretty excited about the Christmas track they were putting together. Bieber had his musical heroes in mind when he heard the song — called "Falalalala," the group revealed to MTV News — for his upcoming holiday album.

"He thought we'd be perfect for it," Stockman said. "And we went in and locked in."

When the Boyz stopped by to talk about their October album Twenty, Wanya Morris recalled meeting the teen star for the first time way back before they all worked together.

"We met him in the hotel, at the Le Montrose, in L.A. and the dude, he had a cast on at the time," Morris remembered. "And he stepped up and said, 'Oh my God! Boyz II Men, you're my favorite group!' And we're like, 'Oh, OK,' and at the time, we didn't know who he was. He was a new dude, and the next thing you know, he's huge. And I'm like, 'That's the same guy!' "

Bieber was a fan of Boyz II Men from when he was a kid, but there was one track that wasn't allowed in the Bieber household.

"He told us his mom didn't want him to sing 'I'll Make Love to You,' so he'd sneak and go sing it somewhere," Morris said. "It's also good to know we've influenced such a good artist. It's something that makes us feel we've accomplished [something and] we're doing our job, [that] a guy so young and so into his craft [is] influenced by three guys from Philadelphia that love to sing."

What are you expecting from Bieber and Boyz II Men's Christmas collabo? Let us know in the comments!

MAGAZINE FAB: Lil' Wayne COVERS The Oct/Nov 2011 Issue Of "VIBE"

Lil' Wayne aka Weezy F. Baby covers the October/November 2011 issue of "VIBE" Magazine where he dishes on everything from the Jay-Z "beef" to the London riots.  See the highlights inside as well as a peek at one of birthday boy Weezy's cakes....

Celebrating the phenomenal success of Tha Carter IV, Lil' Wayne covers the latest issue of "VIBE" Magazine where he gives his opinion about Jay-Z, the London riots and whether he views his Young Money crew as rap competition.  Here are some highlights....

On Older Rappers/Competition In The Game

"There's no competition [with any artists]. Music isn't about competition no more. All the gangster rappers are happy, all the skateboard rappers are happy, all the white rappers are happy... Everybody just happy to do music these days. There are no problems. That shit died a long time ago with them old-ass rappers. We are just making music, making money and having fun feeding our families. Competition is for the old guys."

VIBE: You say competition is for the "old guys," but it sounds like you're going at Jay-Z with that line, "I got your baby money/Kidnap your bitch, get that how-much-you-love-your-lady money." Are we looking at it the wrong way?

LIL WAYNE: I know for a fact, music is about perception. You can't do anything but perceive what you hear. If I know that for a fact, I can never be upset about someone's reaction to it. I'm not gonna say I don't know what will happen before I say it [on record]. I do know what will happen. I am aware of it. It is what it is.

VIBE: So you knew the repercussions of going after Jay before anything even happened?

LIL WAYNE: Well, I'm a man. I believe as a man you should know that. Every man should know the repercussions and consequences behind whatever they do before they do it. And of course, I know there won't be any repercussions behind what I did.

On Drake As Competition:

LIL WAYNE: I don't look at it like that. Drake is my artist. If he wasn't my artist, then yeah maybe. But that's my artist. He's not [just] a friend. We're more than friends. It's business. It would be impossible for it to be a competition. I mean, I'm the guy's boss.

On The London Riots:

LIL WAYNE: All you could do is pray for the people that were dealing with the situation and hope for the best. As far as them blaming hip-hop, you can blame Jesus for things, so you can't really fault anybody for blaming someone or something. All you can do is hope for the best.

Lady Gaga 'Already Working' On Born This Way Follow-Up

Singer's manager hopes Gaga will release next LP for free.
By James Montgomery

Lady Gaga
Photo: Kevin Mazur/WireImage

This may not come as a shock to anyone who's marveled at her multitasking ways, but just four months after the release of her Born This Way album, says she's already working on the follow-up, which she says will be released "sooner rather than later."

That's what she told Ryan Seacrest just before the iHeartRadio festival in Las Vegas, adding that the new disc is just one of many projects she's juggling at the moment.

"I'm actually already working on my next album," she said. "So I've been working on that. I've been planning the next tour, which keeps me very excited and busy because I have lots of new ideas, and I know exactly how I want it to look. I'm also planning my next music video. I have lots of things to do, but in truth, I feel like I'm the most alive when I'm onstage."

And while there's still no release date (or any concrete information) on Gaga's next album, her manager, Troy Carter, recently suggested that, if he has his way, Gaga might give the record away for free.

Check out photos of Lady Gaga and others at the iHeartRadio festival.

"If it was up to me, I'd give away the next album and put it on every handset that I can put it on," Carter said last week at the f8 conference in San Francisco. "You can't be scared to fail. Sometimes we're going to get big results, and sometimes you learn a lesson, make an adjustment and move on."

Gaga made waves back in May with the multitude of methods she promoted Born This Way, including a much-discussed 99-cent pricing scheme with Amazon.com, which temporarily crashed the site.

A spokesperson for Gaga's label could not be reached for comment by MTV News about the new album.

What They're Saying:
"A picture with a commercial sensibility and a quippy streak, yet one honest enough to transcend the usual." -- Chicago Tribune

"It's the Rogen-Goldberg touch, with the duo's characteristic Superbad mash of the sweet and the bracingly coarse, that sells this unusual downer/upper of a life-and-death comedy." -- Entertainment Weekly

Good for Kids?
The film is rated R for sexual content and some drug use. And, not surprisingly, Common Sense Media tells parents to be prepared for some heavy themes. Based on screenwriter Will Reiser's own battle with cancer, the film is centered around the concept of life and death and "what to do when faced with the possibility of not living past 30." What They're Saying:
"There are no surprises, but for once you don't much mind." -- Hollywood Reporter

"What's Your Number? is not much dumber than the average romantic comedy, but there is something sad and infuriating about it -- like running into a high-school friend who seemed destined for greatness and walking away realizing she just picked your pocket." -- TIME magazine

Good for Kids?
The plot of a single girl searching for "the one" may seem charming and kid-friendly, but don't be fooled! This Christian drama film from the men behind Fireproof follows four law enforcement officers who all face the daily challenge of fatherhood. When a tragedy hits close to home, they are left figuring out what it means to be a great dad.

What They're Saying:
"Like a pastor so caught up in the moment that he can't see that the air conditioning has given out and the congregation wants to go home, the film travels far beyond its dramatic climax, aiming for an altar call finale." -- Orlando Sentinel

"A moving, modern parable not to be missed by anyone who's always wondering why they don't make wholesome movies with uplifting messages anymore." -- NewsBlaze

Good for Kids?
Although this film centers around faith and spirtuality, parents should know that the PG-13 film includes intense car chases, shoot-outs, fistfights and the tragic death of a child.

What They're Saying:
"It really happened, it's really corny, and it's really great." -- Village Voice

"[It] may be the first baseball film to tap into the thrill of strategizing -- of manipulated cause and effect -- as entertainingly as you'd expect from a movie about chess or a casino heist." -- Entertainment Weekly

Good for Kids?
The film is rated PG-13 for some strong language and might be tough for children to understand, but baseball fans from 13 to 130 will love it, especially since it boasts an all-star cast at the top of their game and rave reviews from critics.

What They're Saying:
"Abduction falls in the same corner of the youth market as the Twilight movies. Some moments and many lines feel cribbed from that series." -- Orlando Sentinel

"Last I checked, tweenage girls weren't too keen on this genre, and the boys who normally would be a fan will likely be disappointed by (Abduction's) bloodless, stagnant lameness." -- Quickflix

Good for Kids?

Beyonce, Adele, Lil Wayne Get VMA Bump On iTunes

Up-and-coming rockers Young the Giant also among those benefitting from post-show sales boost.

Beyoncé's surprise pregnancy reveal wasn't the only bump to show up this week. A number of artists also got an expected iTunes VMA bump, as their singles shot up the iTunes digital charts in the wake of their performances on the record-setting broadcast.

The biggest leap was made by Adele, whose second single, "Someone Like You," shot right up to #1 on the tally in the wake of her dramatic appearance on the broadcast, a rise of 441 percent. The song was not even in the top 10 when iTunes released the charts for the week ending August 22. Though iTunes does not release sales figures, there was clearly some serious online purchasing that went on, in addition to a major flood of Twitter traffic caused by the VMAs.

Among the other beneficiaries were Lady Gaga, whose Jo Calderone-fueled take on "Yoü and I" pushed that song back into the top 10 to #4 as of Thursday (September 1). And, after dropping Tha Carter IV at midnight on Sunday, Lil Wayne was all over, with "Mirror" moving into the #5 position, "Blunt Blowin' " at #13, "MegaMan" at #23 and "How to Love" at #15.

Beyoncé herself had a boost from the night, as her "Love on Top" performance pushed the not-officially-released-as-a-single single to #3 (currently at #9) as sales picked up by 221 percent. Pre-show performers Cobra Starship were feeling the love also, as "You Make Me Feel" moved up to #6 after having faded to #11 before the broadcast.

Also benefitting were rockers Young the Giant, whose performance likely helped breakthrough single, "My Body," shoot up 223 percent to land at #2 on the alternative singles charts and #24 on the overall chart. The band's self-titled disc also saw some serious love, with sales expanding by 220 percent, moving up to #4 on the iTunes album chart. House artist Jessie J got the bump as well, with sales of her album, Who You Are shooting up nearly 200 percent.

Chris Brown's high-flying VMA medley also pushed him up the charts, as his singles "Beautiful People" and "Yeah 3X" soared by 904 and 149 percent, respectively, on the iTunes singles chart.

The love was spread far and wide, as evidenced by the 1,375 percent jump for Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse's version of "Valerie" — performed by Bruno Mars during the Amy Winehouse tribute — and the Foo Fighters' VMA-winning "Walk," which had a 120 percent jump on the iTunes singles chart. Sales of Britney Spears' "Till the World Ends" were up 76 percent on the iTunes singles chart after the song was heard in the Britney tribute to the pop star and Pitbull's summer jam "Give Me Everything" surged 71 percent on the iTunes song tally following his performance.

Robert Plant And Alison Krauss Win Grammy Album Of The Year

Raising Sand, from Led Zeppelin vet and bluegrass superstar, wins five Grammys on Sunday night.
By James Montgomery with MTV News staff

Alison Krauss and Robert Plant accept the award for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards on Sunday

"I'm bewildered," Robert Plant said onstage as he accepted the Grammy Album of the Year award with Alison Krauss on Sunday night. "In the old days we would have called this selling out, but it's a good way to spend a Sunday."

He was probably one of the few who were surprised, because Raising Sand, which won five trophies at Sunday night's show, is in many ways the perfect Grammy album. It features two respected veterans, a critically lauded producer, some sandpaper-and-velvet vocals and a baker's dozen of time-tested standards.

You're probably familiar with Robert Plant from his Led Zeppelin days, and you might be aware of producer T-Bone Burnett's work on the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack (it won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2002). And if you don't know who Alison Krauss is, she possesses a haunting set of pipes and is one of the meanest fiddle players in the world. Oh, and she's won 21 Grammys, more than any other female artist and the seventh-most in history.

Really, she's the key to Sand's success, and not just because of her voice (or her fiddle playing). She and Plant first met in 2004, at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute to legendary bluesman Leadbelly, and the former Zeppelin man was amazed by her knowledge of American Roots music — so much so that they began kicking around the idea of recording an album together. Three years later, Sand was released.

And while Plant possesses the more famous voice, the album's finest moments radiate from Krauss. Whether she's getting bluesy on Little Milton's "Let Your Loss Be Your Lesson" or entwining with Plant's husky voice on songs like "Please Read the Letter" and Roly Salley's winsome "Killing the Blues," she more than carries her end of the bargain.

And perhaps that's also due to producer Burnett, who handpicked the 13 songs the duo cover on Sand. His arrangements are sparse — giving the two voices ample room to breathe — yet dense, warm and crackling at the same time. It's a testament to his work that he's often given just as much billing as Plant and Krauss on the project ... and it's certainly justified.

To date, Sand has sold more than 1 million copies, heaped tons of acclaim and actually earned a Grammy last year — "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)" took home the award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.

One expert was surprised not by the album's success, but by the fact that it's actually quite a good album.

"At first, the album seemed like a vanity project. ... Two names, clearly a one-off record, didn't have to be any good, you know?" New York Times music critic Jon Caramanica said. "Led Zeppelin fans would buy it because of Robert Plant, Alison Krauss would get a check. But it actually turned out to be a really thoughtful, really good record. So when you combine all that with the fact that the Grammys love to lionize one of their own, I could really see it taking home some awards."

Katy Perry Ties Michael Jackson Singles Record

'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' marks Perry's fifth #1 single from Teenage Dream, equal only to MJ's Bad achievement.

Back in June, Katy Perry was closing in on Michael Jackson's record for the most #1 singles from the same album — and now she's tied it up. Thanks to the feel-good party jam "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)," Perry has the same number of #1 singles from Teenage Dream on the Hot 100 as the late King of Pop did from 1987's Bad.

Now, Perry is both the only woman with five #1 singles from the same album and also the only living artist with that record. So what singles got her there aside from "Last Friday Night"? Perry's previous #1's from Teenage Dream are "California Gurls," "Teenage Dream," "Firework" and "E.T." Jackson achieved this feat back in 1987 and 1988 with "I Just Can't Stop Loving You," "Bad," "The Way You Make Me Feel," "Man in the Mirror" and "Dirty Diana" from his Bad album.

"What a way to wake up! SO proud to announce that the little-engine-that-could of a song 'LAST FRIDAY NIGHT' is officially #1 & made HISTORY!" the singer tweeted Wednesday (August 17). "&u know, I couldn't have done it with out ya, really I owe u guys BIG... so take this moment to give yourself a high FIVE!!! #allbecauseofu."

Explore our "Katy Perry: By The Numbers" infographic:

Perry broke another singles record earlier this month, having the first album from the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart to have five #1 singles. Perry's Teenage Dream album is the first in the nearly 19-year history of the chart to accomplish that feat.

"Last Friday Night" has proven to be another successful track for the star, and the party anthem recently got an assist from Missy Elliott on the remix.

Perry's Teenage Dream videos have also been cultural smashes. For the 2011 Video Music Awards, Perry racked up the most nominations with nine, including nods for Video of the Year and Best Female Video for "Firework"; Best Pop Video for "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"; and Best Collaboration, Best Art Direction, Best Direction, Best Editing and Best Special Effects for the Floria Sigismondi-directed "E.T.," which features fellow nominee Kanye West. Her dreamy "Teenage Dream" clip even nabbed a nomination for Best Cinematography.

The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live on Sunday, August 28, from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at 9 p.m. ET/PT. See the list of nominees, revisit last year's highlights and vote for your favorites in the general categories by visiting VMA.MTV.com.

Kandi Burruss Readies Her OWN BRAVO SHOW "The Kandi Factory"

Kim Zolciak isn't the only ATL Housewife getting a spinoff show.  As we previously mentioned, Kandi Burruss is indeed set to kick off her very own show as well.  And it has just been given the official greenlight from BRAVO.

Deets inside...

Last month, single mom Kandi had Bravo cameras in tow at her sex toy line launch in NYC...but they weren't the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cameras.  So we figured she was getting her own spinoff.

And today, BRAVO confirmed that they have officially given the greenlight for "The Kandi Factory" starring, of course, Kandi Burruss herself.

The new special will follow “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and multi-platinum songwriter as she helps other artists reach their musical dreams. Ever since Kandi turned Kim Zolciak‘s single “Tardy for the Party” into a digital download phenomenon, she has been bombarded by thousands of wannabe artists desperate for her popstar secrets.  So Kandi believes she can turn anyone with raw talent and drive into “something hot” and wants to give aspiring artists a shot at their dream.

According to Bravo, in the special, Kandi will give two protégés the opportunity to come to Atlanta and learn the fundamentals of pop music success. She has identified three factors that have to fit perfectly together to create a pop sensation: the song, the look and the performance.  Then Kandi and her team of experts at The Kandi Factory will work with the two contestants in order to turn them into music superstars.

“With her breakout personality and straightforward attitude, Bravo fans have grown to love Kandi on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’” said Eli Lehrer, Vice President of Development for Bravo. “‘The Kandi Factory’ will capture a unique look at her successful music career as Kandi transforms two music hopefuls into the next big popstar.”

Will you be watching?  P.S.  Kandi's also switching gears with music and focusing on writing country hits for popular artist, JoDee Messina.

B.o.B Reveals Album Title, Strange Clouds

The follow-up to his breakout The Adventures of Bobby Ray is tentatively due in 'early spring.'

B.o.B teamed up with Lil Wayne on the brand-new "Strange Clouds," and apparently he liked the result so much he's decided to name his album after it.

During an interview with Atlanta radio station V-103, B.o.B confirmed that the follow-up to his massive The Adventures of Bobby Ray album would, in fact, be called Strange Clouds. The singer spoke about the lead-off single, saying it just seemed like the logical choice to launch the next phase of his career.

" 'Strange Clouds' ... is the first single off my sophomore album, [which is] actually titled Strange Clouds," he told V-103. "Wayne actually got on it pretty quick. It was a quick turnaround. We were kind of debating on it, man, but we just felt like this is the song that should go first. I feel really strong about it and I like to take my time with music.

"When you do a song with somebody, it's basically like you're starting a business with that person ... it creates a lot of opportunities," he continued. "I'm glad that he blessed me with a verse, man, and it's the first single off my album, so I'm excited about it."

B.o.B added that Strange Clouds would hit stores in "early spring," adding that, "I want it to be sooner!"

Earlier this year, he told MTV News that fans should expect "some surprises" on the new disc and subsequently called it "a real special project." And though the title track features Weezy, producer Jim Jonsin recently let it be known that folks expecting a sequel to The Adventures of Bobby Ray — and the sundry of features it, uh, featured — might be disappointed, because Strange Clouds is very much a B.o.B project.

"What Bob wanted to do was go into the lab himself and spend his time creating what he wanted his album to have, the direction he wanted," Jonsin told MTV News. "So we're waiting on him to come back with that house that he's built so we can go ahead and put all the fixtures in and try to help with it."
