Young Dose Explains No Days Off Mixtape Highlights
'It's basically showing y'all how we splurge,' rapper tells Mixtape Daily of 'Benjamins to Lean On.'

Young Dose knows keeping good company can be beneficial to your rap career. The ATL rapper's Big Play Entertainment company hooked up with DJ Clue's Desert Storm to help bolster the rep he was growing back home with the goal of taking his music national.
The alliance reaped immediate benefits with "Where Dey Do That At," which came to feature contributions by Rick Ross and another Clue affiliate, Fabolous. Mixtape Daily caught up with Dose as he dropped some insight into a couple of songs from his latest mixtape, No Days Off, with DJ Teknikz.
"Why I call it No Days Off, because we on a nonstop grind every day," Dose said. "We out here working 365 — 366 on a leap year — we out here."
On "Benjamins to Lean On," Dose offers a lyrical glimpse into his rap life. "It's basically showing y'all how we splurge," Dose said. "How we living in the skyscrapers. How we buying the finest of the coupes and blowing this paper, basically."
The other track Dose made sure to spotlight was "Ain't Doin' It Right," which features his big homey Gucci Mane. "It's basically talking about how y'all ain't doing it right out here," Dose said.
Other artists that Dose worked with on No Days Off include Waka Flocka Flame, Wale, Yung Joc and Soulja Boy Tell'em. Also appearing on the mixtape is fellow Big Play Entertainment rapper YC, whose "Racks," featuring Future, is huge hit in the South. YC recently signed a record deal with Universal Republic Records.

Music industry urges other stars who played for Libyan dictator's family to donate their earnings.

Just days after singer Nelly Furtado announced that she planned to donate to charity money she received for playing a concert for the family of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, a spokesperson for Beyoncé said that the "Halo" singer had already done the same.
Documents obtained by the WikiLeaks website revealed that stars including Beyoncé, Usher and Mariah Carey had played big-paycheck gigs for Gadhafi. On Monday, Rolling Stone magazine reported that the industry was urging the stars (noting that rapper 50 Cent had also played such gigs) to return the money they earned for the concerts.
"They've done it for tons of artists," an unnamed music-business source told the magazine about lavish parties by Gadhafi's son, Muatassim, which are reportedly often "jammed" with supermodels. "Those guys are all over the world."
On Wednesday, a rep for Beyoncé — who played a New Year's Eve gig for Muatassim with Usher on the Caribbean island of St. Barts in 2009 — told the Huffington Post that the singer had long ago resolved the matter.
"All monies paid to Beyoncé for her performance at a private party at Nikki Beach St. Barts on New Year's Eve 2009, including the commissions paid to her booking agency, were donated to the earthquake relief efforts for Haiti over a year ago," her publicist said. "Once it became known that the third-party promoter was linked to the Qaddafi family, the decision was made to put that payment to a good cause."
The money was donated to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund, established in the wake of last year's devastating earthquake, and a spokesperson for the fund confirmed that it received the $1 million check in the weeks after the January 2010 earthquake.
According to her official Twitter feed, Canadian pop star Nelly Furtado confirmed on Monday that she once did a show for the dictator's family and now plans to donate the money to charity. "In 2007, I received 1million$ from the Gadhafi clan to perform a 45 min. show for guests at a hotel in Italy," she wrote on Monday. "I am going to donate the $."
The star-studded shows were part of the extravagant lifestyle of the dictator's sons, whose splashy parties and out-of-control spending have angered their countrymen, many of whom wallow in poverty as the Gadhafi clan benefits from the country's oil riches.

Beyonce May Work With Diplo, Sleigh Bells On New Album
Producer says he was 'in NYC tryin' to make tracks' for B and Bells' songwriter/guitarist.
By James Montgomery

Over the years, Diplo has worked with everyone from Thom Yorke to Spank Rock (and, of course, M.I.A.) so perhaps it should come as no surprise that, for his next collaboration, he's chosen to work with none other than Beyoncé. Oh, and electro-slammers Sleigh Bells, too. It all makes sense, in some bizarre way.
This is according to Dip himself, who posted a message — and a remix of the Sleigh Bells track "Tell 'Em" — on his blog, in which he let it be known that he, his production partner Switch and Sleigh Bells' songwriter/guitarist Derek Miller just wrapped sessions for Beyoncé's follow-up to I Am ... Sasha Fierce. He wasn't quite sure what would come of the tracks they created.
"Me and Switch was in [the] studio in NYC tryin' to make tracks with Derek and Beyoncé last week after we played her team [Sleigh Bells'] album," Diplo wrote. "Dunno if we gonna manage to finish, but [it] was good times."
At the very least, you know Bey's husband, indie-rock fan Jay-Z, is pumped by the news. Diplo is just the latest in an ever-growing list of top-flight producers who have worked with Beyoncé in recent months. There's still no release date or tentative title for her upcoming album, but she's logged studio time with the likes of S1 (he of "Power" fame), Ne-Yo, Sean Garrett and Jim Jonsin.
A spokesperson for Beyoncé did not respond to MTV News' request for comment on the Diplo tracks by press time.

Related Artists'American Idol' Preview: Can Jacob Lusk Keep It Up?
Casey Abrams will surely pull out all the stops after his near-elimination.
By Eric Ditzian
Last week on "American Idol," Jacob Lusk soared, while Casey Abrams collapsed, literally, falling into Ryan Seacrest's arms as the judges exercised their only save of the season to prevent the bearded fellow from going home.
Where does the show go from here? Will Lusk, who bounced back from a few dreadful performances to wow the crowd with Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's "You're All I Need to Get By," be able to keep it up during Wednesday's (March 30) Elton John-themed evening? Can Abrams buck up after almost chucking up his dinner, following his sing-for-survival take on Ray Charles' "I Don't Need No Doctor"?
Those are just two of the questions we're kicking around as we head into the show. Here's what we're hoping to see from each singer when "Idol" goes live.
Casey Abrams
At this point, there can hardly be any disputing that Abrams is this year's Andrew Garcia, a guy whose musical stylings were revelatory at first but quickly revealed themselves as one-note. The problem right now for Casey is that he's been all over the place in recent weeks — wannabe grunge kid here, slicked-back showman there. We don't expect him to last much longer, but while he's still there, Abrams should simply embrace who he truly is: a singer who over-relies on his growl and has a ton of fun up on the stage. A slowed-down take on "The Bitch Is Back" could be a nice fit.
Haley Reinhart
If you believe the tabloid press, Haley and Casey have coupled up behind the scenes. They might be able to spend a whole lot more time together soon. Her best bet to avoid a trip home is to cover a highly recognizable Elton tune and hope the public, merrily singing along, transfers some good will to Haley in the form of votes. Perhaps a husky, bluesy version of "Tiny Dancer" is in order.
Jacob Lusk
When Jacob sings, you feel it. Sometimes that makes it a terrifying experience, and sometimes it's a moving one. With a new emphasis on restraining his impulse to over-sing and under-deliver, Lusk would be savvy to cover "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" and wait until the final notes to truly sing the hell out of the tune.
James Durbin
We continue to argue that Durbin is at his best when showing off his sensitive, genuine side, rather than pretending he's some sort of rock star you'd best keep your sisters and daughters away from. We want the 22-year-old to keep his performance slow this week, which is why we'll point him in the direction of "Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters."
Lauren Alaina
We fear Lauren will go uptempo once again — she seems to enjoy strutting around the stage like a go-go dancer plopped into a country salon. But she's at her best while belting over a spare arrangement. So we hope she avoids something like "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" and instead reaches for something special with a ballad like "Something About the Way You Look Tonight."
Naima Adedapo
The 26-year-old has hung around an admirably long time, but Elton John week should present her a serious challenge. We think. Honestly, we're never sure what Naima is going to give us week to week. While we're unchanged in our view that she'd be best served by carving out an Adele-like niche for herself, Naima doesn't seem intent on defining herself in any one way. So we won't pick a specific song for her, just cross our fingers that she shows us something like she did during her audition take on Donny Hathaway, when we first tagged her as a contestant to watch.
Paul McDonald
Paul likes to boogie. There's no way he'll play guitar two weeks in a row and avoid those gyrations he calls dancing. But we can hope, right? How about we split the difference and have him hold onto the mic stand for dear life as he delivers a convulsive cover of "Bennie and the Jets"?
Pia Toscano
Wait, wait, wait — she's totally going to do a ballad again, right? Even though the judges are nearly down on their knees begging Pia to bust out something with a pulse? Come on, you don't think she'd actually do something like "Crocodile Rock"? Ha! The gal with the season's biggest pipes isn't going to stray from her comfort zone, if only because we're not sure she'd be able to at this point. So it's "Something About the Way You Look Tonight" for her.
Scotty McCreery
Speaking of comfort zones, Scotty ain't going anywhere that's not within spitting distance of a Travis Tritt song. We're done expecting anything else. Listen to the lyrics of "Your Song" and it just feels like a country song. We have a feeling that's where Scotty is headed on Wednesday (March 30).
Stefano Langone
Aside from Casey, who probably sustained some bruises (and possibly a heart attack), Stefano is the contestant who suffered most last week: He closed his eyes and butchered Lionel Richie's "Hello." This week, he's got to sing an Elton song that drips with so much emotion even Stefano couldn't fail to connect with some lyrics. As strange and potentially cheesy as it may be, "Candle in the Wind" — arranged in a vaguely contemporary manner — might be in order.
Thia Megia
Let's agree to this: If Thia sings the "Circle of Life," "American Idol" closes up shop forever. After the brutal reception of her "Pocahontas" tune earlier this month, she wouldn't actually take on "The Lion King," would she? Hey, the kid seems so mixed up these days, anything is possible. An uptempo number didn't work for her last week. Nothing, to be frank, might prevent her from getting a trip home. In that sense, then, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" could be the perfect choice.

Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera Make Nice Over Twitter

Britney Spears is climbing right back to the top of the pop charts with her latest album Femme Fatale -- and her former Mickey Mouse Club costar Christina Aguilera (who seems to be struggling a bit these days) has nothing but praise for her old pal.
"Congrats on the Femme Fatale release!" Aguilera, 30, twittered to Spears on Tuesday, the day the album dropped. "Can't wait to see what you bring in the next video. xo"
Spears, 29, returned the favor by wishing Aguilera well with her new gig as a judge on the NBC's new singing competition, The Voice.
"Thanks @TheRealXtina," she wrote. "Can't wait to watch you on your new show. Hope we get to hear that voice on The Voice."
While it's now Aguilera's turn to battle constant media reports that she's on a downward spiral, Spears is no stranger to traveling the rocky roads of stardom. It was just a few years ago that Spears was shaving her head and smashing a paparazzo's car window with an umbrella.
Instead of engaging in catty competition (like some other female stars!), these women appear to have each other's backs. It's refreshing to see two pop divas sharing the love!

Prince William and Kate Middleton Talk Royal Wedding in TLC Special

The next big royal wedding is just one month away (April 29!), and TLC (home of The Wedding Story) is tracking its progress with Doppler Radar-like precision. Sunday night, the network kicked off its coverage of Prince William's marriage to Kate Middleton with William & Kate: Inside the Royal Wedding, a one-hour special that offered all the information known about the nuptials, plus lots of speculation about potential flowers, dresses, cakes and the like.
Early in the hour, the special featured an interview with the couple, sitting relatively casually (for British royalty) on a couch. In the snippets shown, the self-deprecating Prince William of Wales did all the talking, while his adoring bride-to-be Kate beamed at him. The pair met when they were 19 and students at St. Andrews University in Scotland. "We were friends for over a year first, and it just sort of blossomed from then on," he said. "We just spent more time with each and had a good giggle, had lots of fun. She's got a really nice sense of humor, which kind of helps me because I've got a very dense sense of humor."
Kate's best friend, Jessica Hay, and another St. Andrews student, Ben Duncan, offered breezier, more personal tidbits -- like the fact that Kate is an amazing hockey player, and that William would probably prefer a private 25-guest affair. The special's eyebrow raiser, if you could call it that, was the anecdote about the day that William began looking at Kate in a different way: When she took part in a charity fashion show at St. Andrews, William was sitting in the front row. She walked out in a see-through negligee. TLC showed the photo -- and, yes, the outfit is definitely see-through!
Two hundred guests have been invited to the wedding, which will take place at Westminster Abbey at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 29. William's brother Henry will be the best man; Kate's sister Pippa will be the maid of honor. Then they'll ride in an open carriage to Buckingham Palace, with over one million people expected to line the parade route. (The security bill alone is estimated at $20 million.) The reception will feature a buffet, and guests will sit at tables set with precision-like accuracy (a ruler is used to mark the space between place settings).
Details like the dress, flower arrangements, cake, carriage and the rest have not been disclosed, but TLC interviewed experts in these areas to guess at the couple's selections. Viewers watched a cake designer create a seven-tiered fruit cake, and Princess Diana's dress designer discussed the pressures of making a royal wedding dress.
"People see William as the new golden boy," said one royal watcher. "And with his bride-to-be, maybe they can do what Charles and Diana never did, which is work as a brilliant team, and I think that's what the Queen sees in this union." In other words, everybody's hoping that this royal wedding turns out better than that one.

Perez Hilton Reveals Birthday Wishes For Lady Gaga, Anti-Bullying
Celeb blogger blew out the candles at his Blue Ball Birthday Bash, telling MTV News he'll donate event proceeds to an LGBT charity.

LOS ANGELES — Perez Hilton had two wishes for his birthday this year.
The 33-year-old blogger, who celebrated in grand Hollywood fashion on Saturday night at a Sunset Boulevard studio in Los Angeles, says that if he has his way, two things will come to pass: Lady Gaga's Born This Way will be a super hot-selling album and teen bullying will cease.
"My birthday wish for this year is for Lady Gaga's new album, Born This Way, to sell over 1.2 million copies the first week," he said, pausing to give off a mock-sinister laugh. "That would beat Taylor Swift's 1.1-something!"
That was actually the only kind-of-mean thing the notorious blogger said at his Blue Ball Birthday Bash on Saturday. And it could be the last. Perez said he has cleaned up his act, largely due to the teen bullying that's been well-documented over the past year.
"When there was that rash of gay teenagers committing suicide last year, and the bullying that is still going on, I was so moved. So moved that I changed how I operate on my website. When it came time to do my birthday, the idea came to me to raise money for charity and, of course, I wanted it to be a LBGT organization. And of course it was important for to work with one for young people," he told MTV News.
So what does that kind of change mean? For starters, it means Perez may not have to duck celebrities anymore. He's been trying to stick to the facts, he said, and do less of the ad-libs like drawing on their paparazzi photographs. He also opened up about how he apologized to Jennifer Aniston for how he treated her over the years on his blog.
"The great thing about being the new and more positive Perez is that I, hopefully, will be having less awkward, uncomfortable, negative confrontations with people," he said. "But hey, I'm a big boy. I've done things in the past I'm not that proud of."
What do you think of Perez's birthday wishes? Tell us in the comments!

Ke$ha has made a name for herself as a party girl who makes party songs. But maybe you find the choice tracks on her debut, Animal, and the follow-up, Cannibal, not quite up to snuff for your dance-floor needs. And maybe that's why the singer has decided to release her first ever remix album, I Am the Dance Commander + I Command You to Dance: The Remix Album, on March 22.
For the album, Ke$ha hooked up with a number of dance DJs and producers, as well as a few notable guests. The track listing includes: "Blow" (Cirkut Remix), "The Sleazy Remix" (which includes an appearance by Andre 3000), "Tik Tok Untold Remix," "F--- Him He's a DJ" (live version), "Animal Switch Remix," "Your Love Is My Drug" Dave Audé club remix, "We R Who We R" Fred Falke club remix, "Take It Off" Billboard remix, "Tik Tok" Chuck Buckett's Veruca Salt remix and her track with 3OH!3, "Blah Blah Blah" DJ Skeet Skeet radio remix.
In addition to the new music, Ke$ha is also set to release the music video for her latest single, "Blow." She tweeted about filming it in late January. On Tuesday, the singer shared that she saw some footage from the video, writing, "Just saw the final cut of my new video for BLOW all I can say is HOT DAMN."
Currently, Ke$ha is on the road for her Get $leazy Tour, which she kicked off last week in Portland, Oregon. She's set to wrap up her tour in Las Vegas on May 7.

Dimmu Borgir Release Live DVD; Plus Led Zeppelin, Brujeria, & More News That Rules, In Metal File
'It shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums,' guitarist says.
By Chris Harris

On October 14, Dimmu Borgir — who just happen to be Demi Lovato's favorite black-metal band — will release a a three-disc DVD/CD set called "The Invaluable Darkness," the band's first visual offering since 2002's "World Misanthropy." Boasting live footage shot last year, during gigs in Norway, Germany and England, "The Invaluable Darkness" demonstrates the unbridled furor of seeing Dimmu live, guitarist Silenoz said.
"It shows the honest rawness and atmospheric darkness of our concerts," the Norwegian told Metal File last week, after dismissing recent online rumors that his band's next LP would be coming out through Roadrunner Records. "Basically, it shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums. It's just a different side to the band, basically."
Dimmu Borgir began thinking about "The Invaluable Darkness" two years ago, but didn't start capturing footage until last summer, Silenoz explained, adding that the band will use its current stint on the Blackest of the Black Tour — which got underway Thursday night in Miami Beach, Florida, and also features the tour's founder, Danzig, along with Moonspell, Winds of Plague and Skeletonwitch — to promote the DVD. Dimmu Borgir will not, however, use the tour to write material for their next LP.
"It's our first time on Blackest, but Glenn [Danzig] had wanted to bring us out before [on the tour], but we weren't available until now," Silenoz said. "We've done Ozzfest before, but we're looking forward to this tour more. We did the main stage on Ozzfest, playing in f--_ing broad daylight. This tour will let us play in bigger places, but at the same time showcase more of what the band's about, visually. We are going to concentrate on the tour for now. Some years ago, we tried putting [material] together on the road, but once we got home, we listened back to it, and were like, 'What the f--- is this?' So, we just scrapped it all. We find it's so much better to totally focus on one thing at a time, and then, when that's over, you move on to the next [thing]. We don't really feel like we need to rush things, anyway, so we'll just take our time, and it's going to be what it's going to be."
Dimmu Borgir hope to reconvene in late December to begin writing the follow-up to 2007's diabolically titled In Sorte Diaboli. "We have some ideas floating around already, but we haven't arranged any material yet," he said. "We'll start doing that once the touring for this DVD is over." The band's frontman, Shagrath, is also due to marry soon — he's engaged to actor Nicolas Cage's ex-girlfriend, Christina Fulton, so that may have an effect on when Dimmu finish their next album, which Silenoz said could be out this coming spring.
"I'm sure [Shagrath] won't let anything get in the way [of] the band — I think, I hope," the guitarist said. "We don't need a Yoko [Ono] situation."
While Dimmu have been at it going on 15 years now, Silenoz said he doesn't think their forthcoming material will be much of a departure from their previous black-metal offerings.
"And we have always been about more than just that term, 'black metal,' " he said. "Luckily for us, the older you get, the less concerned you get with the categorization and putting labels on your music. Things start getting more and more limitless with us, and we know that we operate within certain frames. But we try not to analyze things too much, because it's just going to be working against you in the end. When we write new stuff, we don't think about what we should write — we just get together, and put material together, and if we like it, we keep it. That's the formula, if we even have a formula."
Dimmu Borgir are definitely getting older — guitarist Galder will be missing Blackest because of a recent addition to his family, and Susperia's Cyrus will be filling in for him; while former Vader drummer Dariusz Brzozowski takes over for Hellhammer, who had to leave the band in 2007 after sustaining a neck injury that's now limited the use of his right arm. As Dimmu has gotten on in years, Silenoz admits they have failed to keep pace with some of the more extreme black-metal acts that have followed in their wake.
"We helped open doors for the more extreme bands out there," Silenoz said. "I'm sure we helped open doors for bands like Watain, [insomuch as] people that had maybe started listening to us first then went on to the more extreme stuff. Let's face it — we're not as extreme as Watain and other bands like that, but we're fine with that."
The Blackest of the Black Tour continues through November 10 in San Francisco.
The rest of the week's metal news:
Dimmu's tourmates on Blackest, Winds of Plague, have announced ex-Azusa drummer Art Cruz has joined their ranks — he replaced Jeff Tenney. We also worked on a track yesterday that is so epic — we trade vocals and do two different melodies at the same time. Charlie Sheen's $100 Million Lawsuit Gets Early Court Date

Looking to speed up what can sometimes be a drawn-out process, Charlie Sheen's legal team went to court earlier today (March 28) in Santa Monica, CA.
The former ?Two and a Half Men? actor?s lead attorney, Marty Singer, headed into the courtroom and asked Judge Goodman for an order to shorten the usual time it takes to reach a decision.
As previously reported, Sheen filed a public $100 million lawsuit against Warner Bros and ?Two and a Half Men? co-creator, Chuck Lorre, over his firing from the CBS sitcom - with Charlie making it clear that he wants it to be a public trial.
While WB and Lorre prefer a more detailed, private battle, Judge Goodman granted Singer his request and moved up the hearing date to April 19 (the original date was May 25).

Robert Pattinson's Not Suiting Up For 'Daredevil' ... Yet
The 'Water for Elephants' star said he fears fanboy backlash when it comes to superhero movies.

Imagine Robert Pattinson in tights, fighting crime as an iconic character. While the heartthrob would undoubtedly have the Twihards lining up for days to see him play a superhero, he thinks there's one set of moviegoers who wouldn't be nearly as keen on the idea: fanboys!
During Friday's "MTV First: Robert Pattinson," a live, 30-minute chat with the "Water for Elephants" star, RPattz revealed he would, in fact, take on a superhero role if it were presented to him. "I'd love [to] definitely."
But the actor does have some reservations about taking on the genre, including which superhero he would play. "I don't know what superhero you'd do. Is there any left?" he asked.
Robert did, however, admit that there's one character he'd like to suit up for, but he gave pause when he realized what a stir he might cause by even mentioning it.
"I shouldn't even say this stuff, 'cause all the little fanboys will be like, 'No! I'm gonna shoot him!' " he joked.
So, while we may never know which character Robert is "such a big fan" of, we do know that he's not yet in contention for the role of Matt Murdock in "Eclipse" director David Slade's upcoming "Daredevil" reboot.
"I don't know where that one came from at all," Robert said of the rumors that he was lined up to play the comic book vigilante. But, that wasn't the only thing he found confusing about the future remake. When MTV News mentioned another "Daredevil" was in the works, Robert asked, "[That] Ben Affleck movie?"
He then pondered with a laugh about the 2003 flick, "That's weird, didn't that only come out about three years ago?"
The 24-year-old star did have some casting ideas of his own. "Get David Slade to play him," Robert said of his former "Eclipse" director. "Oh no, he should play, who's the bald guy? Bullseye!"
Which superhero would you like to see Robert Pattinson play?
Check out everything we've got on "Water for Elephants."

Robbie Rivera's 'Juicy Beach' Captivates At Miami Music Week
Joachim Garraud, Alex Gaudino also held down thunderous sets during the epic, 17-hour event on Nikki Beach.
By Adam Stewart
MIAMI — South Beach's sexiest beach bash took Miami's SoFi district by storm on Thursday as Robbie Rivera presented his seventh annual Juicy Beach party on the infamous Nikki Beach. Midway through the marathon 17-hour Miami Music Week event, the bikini-clad crowd was treated to back-to-back-to-back sets by Joachim Garraud, Alex Gaudino and, of course, Rivera.
Garruad debuted massive new tracks from his upcoming album, Invasion 2011, bringing his signature edgy stab synth (fans know it from his work on David Guetta tracks like "World Is Mine" and "Love Is Gone"). Garruad's sound is captivating, and the enthusiastic crowd responded by waving hands and fists high in the air.
Next to hit the decks was Gaudino, who wowed the crowd with remixes of Katie Perry's "Firework" and the Foreigner classic "Cold as Ice," as well as his latest smash, "What a Feeling," featuring vocals by ex-Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland. The Italian spinner took a well-deserved bow after his set before a sea of roaring fans.
And then there was the epic, two-hour set by the man who gave life to the chic soiree. MTV News caught up with Rivera just before he got onstage and he warned us he was about to bring the thunder.
Kicking off with his classic piano-infused bomb "Bang," Rivera inspired the crowd to sing along as they rushed to huddle close to the stage. After Rivera's remixes of Kings of Tomorrow's "Finally" and Pete Yorn's "Young Folks," the pace turned furious. One of the major highlights was a violin performance by Micah, which when matched with Robbie's furious beats, rivaled the string work of Boyd Tinsley. Yes you read that correctly, a violinist at Miami Music Week — the wonders never cease. And if you weren't at Juicy Beach this year, know that it's a must-see event for the next time around.

Over the weekend, Lady Gaga tweeted that her May release, Born This Way, was nearly complete. "In Nebraska, finishing up record today," she wrote. "I'm so proud of the album: I keep dancing+drinking: metal/techno rock journey of a woman on the run."
Now, with eight weeks left until it officially drops, Gaga's creative director, Laurieann Gibson, revealed that this album will have the Little Monsters going, well, gaga.
"This new album is spectacular," Gibson told MTV News. "And I got to tell you, you got to really stand by and take notice, 'cause the album is excellent. It's of such excellence that I think that everyone's going to be really impressed and affected."
The first single from the album, the title track, has sat at the top of the charts for weeks, and as Gaga readies the release of a second single, the RedOne-produced "Judas," Gibson said it's just the beginning.
"The records are so visual and large and the concept of birthing has so many levels to it and the dance is never limited, that you're just gonna keep seeing an extension of this story," she explained. "And hopefully [we] get humanity to a place where we can effect change."
With the album basically done, plans for the tour are under way. "We did a theater in an arena and it worked [for the Monster Ball Tour]. ... How do we take it to the next level?" Gibson teased of Gaga's next outing.
What are you expecting from Gaga's album and tour? Let us know in the comments!
